Backpack
Joined when the company was <10 and left when it was 100+. I was often the only designer; the design team never grew past 2. I went 0 to 1 on product design, design systems, and brand for the crypto wallet and crypto + stock exchange on desktop, extension, and mobile. Worked in Figma and shipped PRs with Claude Code.
Addepar
Maintained colors, typography styles, and a component library in Figma and Zeroheight for 10 product designers and worked with developers to build Addepar Product Language, our design system. I also documented our design process in Confluence and held weekly office hours where designers and engineers asked how to use and contribute to the system.
Consensys
Designed and user tested crypto apps on Ethereum including token staking, institutional staking of ETH and minting Central Bank digital currencies. I set up and led the interview process for hiring 2 product designers, created a design system and worked with a design systems team to implement it.
Brideside
Helped with product strategy, research and design, using discovery interviews, NPS, and search data to redesign the navigation, registration flow, shop pages, and product pages.
Yello
Onboarded a 40+ person product team to Figma, worked on a design system, and designed and user-tested campus recruiting and event management tools.
Ample
Designed and developed a Shopify theme and launched a subscription feature, increasing revenue and improving customer education.
Ottimate (formerly Plate IQ, YC S15)
Joined as the 1st designer/FE engineer hybrid when the team was under 10, building in Angular. Shipped core features like bill payments, invoice approval workflows, and an inventory management tool for web and iOS, working with customer support, engineers, and users to translate feedback into UI improvements.
Drop (formerly Massdrop)
Joined as the CTO's first engineering hire when the company was pre-Series A and under 20 employees. Rebuilt the frontend in React and built a personalized activity feed and knowledge base for the e-commerce site's product launches and community discussion.
BlinkTag
Designed and built logos, icons, interactive maps, and websites for over 30 clients including the Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART), PBS KIDS, and the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO), as well as governments in Indonesia, Angola, and Mongolia.
